Fire demolishes vacant Dittmer mobile home
Cedar Hill Fire Protection District crews put out a fire on Monday, July 1 that demolished a vacant mobile home in the 6900 block of Deer Run Road in Dittmer. Assistant Fire Chief David Jones said crews arrived on the scene at 8:19 p.m., and the fire was under control about 15 minutes later.

High Ridge Fire rescue woman, child and two men from Big River at Rockford Park
A 29-year-old South St. Louis County woman, a 12-year-old Fenton girl, an Imperial man and a House Springs man, were rescued from the Big River at Rockford Park on June 29. Crews from the High Ridge Fire Protection District were called to the park at 7:45 p.m. Fire Chief John Barton said the woman and girl were clinging to the cliff wall on the opposite side of the river from the park river access, calling for help.
