Dancing In The Street Returns To Downtown Oyster Bay
Oyster Bay’s “Dancing in the Street” returns this summer for its 13th season. The weekly street fair began on July 5 and will continue through August 16. As the 2024-25 school year begins, there are two significant changes that have the potential to shape the future of education: the implementation of new criteria to earn a high school diploma, and the revision of the foundation aid formula. Reshaping the future of learning
State education officials could potentially do away with the Regents exam, as part of its vision to provide multiple pathways to a high school diploma. The changes, if implemented, could alter the existing graduation requirements for public schools across the state — including in Rockville Centre, where alternative pathways such as Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate diplomas are already offered.
Lynbrook man awarded with 2024 Legionnaire of the Year
Dennis Duffy was awarded with the 2024 to 2025 Nassau County Legionnaire of the Year. Duffy is a member of Lynbrook’s American Legion Post 335.
