Prison Sentence For Man Who Shot Rochester Apartment Manager
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The man who shot and wounded the manager of a downtown Rochester apartment complex last year is headed to prison. 61-year-old Robin Lawrence Helmueller went before an Olmsted County judge in April and entered a guilty plea to a charge of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. His guilty plea was part of an agreement with prosecutors that resulted in the dismissal of a second felony assault charge.
Rochester man caught with cocaine and fentanyl pleads guilty
ROCHESTER, Minn. – An illegal U-turn leads to a felony drug conviction for an Olmsted County man. Gatwech Biel Wiel, 33 of Rochester, was arrested on April 16 after Rochester police officers said they witnessed Wiel make an illegal U-turn and cross the centerline near the intersection of Broadway Avenue N. and 7th Street NE. Officers say they pulled the vehicle over and noticed Wiel appeared to be under the influence.
