    Highway bridge work to begin in Ford and Hodgeman counties

    DODGE CITY, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Department of Transportation says repair work will soon begin on bridges in Ford and Hodgeman counties.

    Starting July 1, crews will simultaneously work on the U.S. Highway 283 bridge over Saw Log Creek North of Dodge City and the Kansas Highway 156 bridge over Buckner Creek East of Hanston. Once work is completed on those two bridges, crews will start repair work on the U.S. 283 bridge over Buckner Creek near Jetmore.

    What you need to know: Cashless tolling in Kansas begins next week

    Starting July 1, traffic through the construction zones will be reduced to one lane, controlled by traffic lights. Drivers should plan for short delays and a width restriction of 14 feet.

    Minnesota-based PCI Roads LLC, is the primary contractor on the project. Work is expected to be completed in November.
