The LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization announced that they have signed former Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Elieser Hernández, confirmed on X by Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net.

The righty will make an annual salary of $440K for the rest of the season.

The 29-year-old came up with the Miami Marlins and looked like a potential big-league starter but has faced some obstacles preventing him from reaching his full potential. He started 17 times for the Marlins over 2020 and 2021, pitching 77.1 innings with a 3.84 earned run average.

Hernández moved to the Marlins’ bullpen in 2022, and finished the year with a 6.35 ERA, before Miami traded him to the New York Mets. He ended up losing the entire 2023 season due to a shoulder strain and only appeared in 9.1 rehab innings for New York’s Triple-A affiliate.

Between the Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers in 2024, Hernández has a 6.32 ERA in 15.2 innings at the major league level and a 2.83 ERA in 28.2 innings in Triple-A. The Brewers designated him for assignment, which triggered him to opt out of his contract to become a free agent and look to regain his form overseas.
