    Previously convicted PA man indicted on drug trafficking, firearm charges

    ( WJET/WFXP ) – A previously convicted Pennsylvania man has been indicted on federal charges relating to drug trafficking and the illegal possession of a firearm.

    On Tuesday, June 25, 30-year-old Tre Robert Goins of Donora, Pennsylvania was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of violating federal narcotics and firearms laws.

    According to the indictment, Goins was found in possession and intended to distribute fentanyl and cocaine around May 24, 2024.

    Goins also unlawfully possessed a firearm, which the indictment claimed was used to further his drug trafficking.

    If convicted, Goins could face a sentence of five to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $1 million or both.

    The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives conducted the investigation that led to Goins’ conviction.
