Holy Spirit Hugh School, located in Absecon, New Jersey has named a new Head of School. He is a 1988 graduate of Holy Spirit High School, named Mike McGhee. It is with great pride that I introduce myself as the newly appointed Head of School at Holy Spirit High School. Women Step Up in Water, on Beach for Fantastic 16th Coquina Jam
The Jetty Coquina Jam at the 68th Street beach in Brant Beach ran without a hitch on Sunday, July 21. The ocean temps finally warmed after a historically cold stretch. Mia Gallagher of Ocean City and Gemma Kohles of Strathmere took the win in an exciting final. The weather, waves and community support surely had something to do with the success of the 16th annual all-female event, but beneath the surface, that success had a lot to do with the dedication of a few women who have really stepped up to promote the Coquina Jam.

Phillies “Shimmy” to Sea Isle for Special Event Aug. 20
It seems that Sea Isle City is turning out to be the place to go this summer for star players and other celebrities from the Philly sports scene. After major events in Sea Isle involving the Eagles and Flyers in June and early July, now comes word that the Phillies are coming to town on Aug. 20 for a family-friendly celebration called the “Phillies Shimmy Down The Shore.” It is scheduled from 6-9:30 p.m. in Excursion Park.
