    Virginia Outdoor Sportsman Show, three-day event: Seminars, vendors, demos, celebrities

    DOSWELL — Are you going to Virginia's largest outdoor sportsman show this weekend at Meadow Event Park? At the 41st annual Virginia Outdoor Sportsman Show on August 2, 3 and 4, ticket holders may attend seminars, meet and learn from experts, talk to guides and outfitters and touch and feel products.

    Hunter and fisherman will also be able to interact with hunting and outdoor celebrities. The 2024 seminar lineup includes Kip Campbell, Chef Albert Wutsch, Byron Ferguson, Tim Andrus, RamRod Bowfishing, Bobby Uhrig, Tyler Clark and Eddie Salter aka The Turkey Man. The three-day event will be a learning and buying experience where sportsmen and sportswomen may shop and compare the latest products, accessories, guides and hunting gear.

    Attendees may also enjoy the bait and fishing demos at the Hawg Trough, canine competitions from DockDogs, National Wild Turkey Federation's 2024 Battle of the Borders West Virginia & Virginia State Turkey Calling Championship, kids fishing pond and duck decoy painting and Virginia Peninsula Sportsmen's Association's 85th annual Big Game Contest [deer, bear and turkey judging] sanctioned by Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources.

    There is no admission fee for children 12 and under. Tickets for adults are $12 per day or $20 for a three-day pass. Visit sportsmanshow.com for tickets and information including a list of exhibitors, seminar schedule, floor plan and a general admission $1 off coupon. Tickets may also be purchased at Green Top Sporting Goods in Ashland or at the door. Show hours for the event with over 150 vendors are Friday, August 2 from noon-6 p.m., Saturday, August 3 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, August 4 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Meadow Event Park is located at 13191 Dawn Blvd. in Doswell.
