Xcel, electric co-ops issue energy alert, urge immediate conservation
Xcel Energy and a number of electric cooperatives, including South Plains Electric Co-op, are asking customers in the Texas Panhandle and South Plains and Eastern New Mexico to immediately cut back on electric use. The companies issued an Energy Alert just after 7 p.m. CDT Monday amid scorching temperatures, forecasting electricity demand could exceed supply unless customers conserve. New AgriLife beekeeping program has East Texas debut
OVERTON, Texas (KLTV) - The Lone Star state is seeing more beekeepers. State data shows Texas has nearly 9,000 beekeeping operations, which is more than any other state. The Texas A&M AgriLife’s extension will now have a beekeeping program, it will serve beekeepers across the state, including in East Texas.
