Denton faces potential Stage 2 drought measures amid ongoing repairs
DENTON, Texas — The City of Denton is on the brink of implementing Stage 2 drought measures as water demands continue to surge. If water usage surpasses 38 million gallons for a third consecutive day, Stage 2 drought measures will be enforced starting tomorrow, Aug. 20, according to a press release from the city. The increased demand stems from ongoing repairs to two damaged filters at one of Denton's water treatment facilities, which have temporarily reduced treatment capacity.
