Bayhealth names Bowie vice president of marketing, communications

DOVER — Bayhealth announced that Amanda Bowie has been named the vice president of Marketing, Communications and Community Outreach after serving in the interim role since March 2023.

Before her current role, she was senior manager of the team.

While in the interim role, Ms. Bowie directed Bayhealth’s branding refresh launch based on research in the community and among team members.

That resulted in a new promise that conveys Bayhealth’s commitment to patients, staff and those living in the community.

With the goal of maximizing Bayhealth’s efforts to help those in greatest need, Ms. Bowie expanded the department to include Community Outreach.

Using social determinants of health data and Bayhealth’s Community Health Needs Assessment, she is leading her team to develop new initiatives.

“Amanda is a visionary marketer experienced in strategies that engage patients and team members and build vital relationships with community partners and the people they serve,” said Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resource Officer Darlene Stone.

“I’ve always been impressed by Amanda’s passion for our organization and this community. She’s leading her team in a new direction that’s propelling us forward.”

As part of the Bayhealth team for more than a decade, Ms. Bowie has served in various capacities within the department, first as a marketing specialist, marketing operations manager, senior manager and now as a vice president.

Ms. Bowie received a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Maryland and a Master of Science in management (concentration in marketing) at Wilmington University.

She is also certified in brand strategies by Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Her professional memberships include the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business, Management and Administration; SHSMD (the Society for Health Care Strategy & Market Development) and MASHMD (the Mid-Atlantic Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development).
