DOVER ‒ After 33 years in business, the Shoney's restaurant in Dover will be going out of business.
It will be closing in a couple more weeks, according to manager Mike Watson, who has worked there for more than 18 years.
The property, located at 881 Commercial Parkway, has been put up for sale by Kaufman Realty & Auctions. It will be sold in an online auction that ends Aug. 22. An open house for interested buyers will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 14. No bids were listed on the auction site as of Tuesday evening.

Watson said the owner of the local Shoney's, Nick Hussein of Pennsylvania, has decided to scale back the number of restaurants he owns. The Dover Shoney's is the last one in Ohio.
The restaurant has 25 employees, some of whom have been there since it opened, Watson noted.
"It's been a pretty good place," he said.
