Just weeks after elbow surgery, Red Sox starter Lucas Giolito went public with his plans to try the unthinkable. In an appearance on The Chris Rose Rotation podcast in April, Giolito — who underwent an internal bracing procedure to repair a damaged ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his pitching elbow on March 13 — said he planned to try to return by the end of the 2024 season.

According to Massachusetts State Police, at just after 3:15 p.m., State Troopers assigned to the Middleborough Barracks responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 495 southbound in Bridgewater that resulted in the death of passenger in the vehicle.

A Lowell teen who police say was shot and killed by her boyfriend last month is being remembered by her friends and family for her “infectious smile and laugh.”. Ahliana Dickey, 15, was killed in her Lowell apartment shortly after midnight on June 14 when her boyfriend, 21-year-old Tewksbury resident Trevor Bady, broke in and shot her to death, authorities said previously. She was set to graduate from the eighth grade the next morning.
