Bowling Green Parks and Recreation hosts Junior Golf Championship
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It’s an annual event that many look forward to and support every year for the benefit of youth of the community. The Junior Golf Championship is a Bowling Green Parks & Rec event put on every year to introduce kids 12 to 18 both boys and girls to the game of golf. Many business and community members help to sponsor the event which has almost doubled in size from last year in both categories with 69 boys and 39 girls in 2024’s tournament.

Next tennis camp at Kereiakes Park slated for August
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local tennis camp began in June, but there is still time to register for the August camp. Bowling Green Parks and Recreation conduct a summer tennis camp for children and adults. The camp develops beginner and intermediate levels to advance participants’ skill sets.
Volleyball Collects 2024 AVCA Team Academic Award
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Drake volleyball was included as one of over 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs to collect the AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT. The Bulldogs earned this honor after maintaining a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale. 10 other Missouri Valley Conference volleyball programs earned the same award.
