Wet pattern extends through the weekend
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A sun/cloud mix and mostly dry on Tuesday. Isolated showers pushed in from the south early evening with chances holding through midnight. More unsettled weather is on tap for the week. Rain chances ramp up tomorrow through Friday then trend downward over the weekend. Wednesday showers and storms become widely scattered during the afternoon and evening. Expect periods of heavy rain which may result in isolated flash flooding especially in low lying areas. Several inches of rain have fallen and with saturated soils additional rain may result in flash flooding.

Traffic stopped on I-75 North after car crash in Macon
MACON, Ga. — An 18-wheeler crashed near the I-75 exit on Bass Road, according to a report from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. The report says the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and between five or six cars were involved in the pile-up. At this time, no serious injuries have been reported.
HomeGoods set to open first Columbus location

HomeGoods, known for its wide selection of furniture, home accessories and cooking products, will open at Columbus Park Crossing, a company spokesperson confirms. The retailer will occupy the 25,000-square-foot building that was previously home to Bed Bath & Beyond on Whittlesey Boulevard.
