On June 22, Duluth kicked off their summer with Grandma’s Marathon, one of the largest marathons in the country, welcoming 20,000 annual runners and bringing over $21 million dollars to the region. Superior City FC Women Fall in Scoring Onslaught
SUPERIOR, Wis.- The Superior City FC women couldn’t keep up with the NOSC Blast in a 5-1 loss at NBC Spartan Sports Complex on Sunday. Superior City gave up two goals in the first half, one of which was scored by UMD sophomore Jessica Eischens. Her Bulldog teammate, Gwendoline Lilly, found the back of the net for Superior in the second half, but the home team was unable to slow down the Blast’s offense.

DULUTH, Minn.- The Duluth Huskies couldn’t kick off the month of July with a victory, falling to the St. Cloud Rox 8-2 Monday at Wade Stadium. St. Cloud scored the game’s first run in the fourth inning before adding three more in the fifth. Duluth’s first run came from MJ Sweeney on a solo home run in the fourth inning.
