A wedding reception in Duluth had a memorable (if somewhat frightening) finale as the entire venue crashed into a breakwater in Lake Superior.

The Vista Star, part of the Vista Fleet of tour boats headquartered in Duluth, struck the breakwater in the Wisconsin Entry shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday.

According to a press release from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, 84 people were on board at the time. Several passengers received minor injuries, though the U.S. Coast Guard ended up evacuating one person for medical treatment at St. Luke's Hospital.

The release says their injuries were not life-threatening.

The Vista Star was "listing to one side" while in 5-foot waves when first responders arrived, with the crew having maneuvered the vessel off the breakwater.

Under escort, authorities say, the yacht was able to make it back to the Minnesota Slip for docking under its own power.

The following morning, Facebook user Pez Davila posted photos from the accident, reporting that the wedding happening on board was "one for the ages" — with newlyweds Alex Buckman and Katrina Thompson starting off their lives together with a literal "BANG!":

There's no word yet on what caused the collision, but the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is now investigating the incident.
