Outdoors retailing giant Bass Pro Shops has announced it will open a new store in Minnesota.

The company on Monday revealed plans to open a Bass Pro Shops Outpost in Hermantown, west of Duluth.

It will take up residence in a 70,000 square foot space at 4275 Haines Road that was formerly home to a Camping World, which was previously a Gander Mountain.

It will be the only Bass Pro Shops Outpost location in Minnesota, though the company does own Cabela's, which has four stores in the state.

The new store is expected to open in the first half of 2025.

"It’s an honor to serve the sportsmen and women in the Duluth area and help outfit them for adventures as they enjoy the rich fishing and hunting opportunities in Minnesota and throughout the region,” said Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris in a press release.

As well as its wide array of outdoor goods, the company is promising the layout will be a "celebration of the sportsmen and women of northern Minnesota," with a team of artists and builders designing "localized imagery to reinforce its immersive outdoor theme."
