Blair County business opens new location nine months after fire

DUNCANSVILLE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Bobcat of Altoona , formerly known as Bobcat of Martinsburg has opened a new location, more than nine months after a deadly fire destroyed their building.

Their new store opened on July 1 and is located at 3227 Route 764 in Duncansville.

“It’s great to have a real shop again, to have all the employees back. We had people working out of our Huntingdon store, and it’s just great to have everybody back under one roof and be back and have our departments open at once. Rentals, sales, service, and parts,” Daniel Everhart, General Manager for Bobcat of Altoona said.

Bobcat of Altoona is the newest addition to the Pristows Equipment Group family of dealerships and Everhart said that it’s been an interesting process trying to inform customers about the new location.

The Duncansville location is temporary, but Bobcat of Altoona will run their operations there for a while.

“We’re going to be here for some time. As you know, we were working out of a construction trailer for almost eight months. And this is going to be a good move for us in order to move to the next step, which will be a permanent location,” Everhart said.

Bobcat of Altoona is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.

Once the showroom is complete in a few months, the company will have a grand opening.
