Large Fight in Dunkirk Leads to Six Arrests
Six people were taken into custody after a large fight broke out in the City of Dunkirk on Monday. Dunkirk Police responded to the 500 block of Main Street shortly after 3:45 PM for a report of a person with a handgun, when the fight began. Officers began trying to break up the fight before several additional people began showing up and tried pulling officers away and fighting with them and other people on scene. Police say several subjects were taken into custody, at which point a large crowd began to gather, which led to additional fights and more arrests. The crowd eventually dispersed after Fredonia Police, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, State Police and University Police arrived on scene. 35-year-old Cody Davis and 33-year-old Niesha Lockett, both of Dunkirk, were both charged with disorderly conduct; 36-year-old Larry Brooks, Jr. of Dunkirk was charged with disorderly conduct and 2nd-degree menacing; 32-year-old Ladarran Watts of Buffalo and 24-year-old Jerred Simmons of Dunkirk face charges of disorderly conduct and 2nd-degree obstruction; and 51-year-old Darleen Brooks of Dunkirk was arrested on a warrant. All six suspects were released with appearance tickets. Police say additional charges from the incident are possible.

(WNY News Now) – Dunkirk – An eight-month investigation into narcotics activity in Dunkirk culminated in a significant raid and arrests early Friday morning. In the early hours of June 28, 2024, a coordinated effort by narcotics investigators from the Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, and Jamestown Police Department resulted in a raid at 91 Lincoln Ave, Dunkirk. The operation, carried out at 5:40 AM, led to the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of narcotics and paraphernalia.
