Labor Day Weekend is the official end of tourist season for the Florida Panhandle. To close the season on a high note, the 30E Cape San Blas, FL Facebook Group is hosting a 2024 Gulf County and Mexico Beach, FL Best Vacation Photo Contest.

The prize is a 4 night stay on gorgeous 30E or Cape San Blas, FL arriving on November 28th and departing on December 2nd.

Before someone brushes off taking a trip to the beach close to winter, consider this:

November to February is a great time to visit 30E as the beaches are way less crowded, vacation rentals are typically much cheaper to rent, businesses often offer nice specials and people can basically enjoy all the beach activities they normally would in the spring and summer (paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, shelling, hiking, roasting hot dogs and making s’mores over bonfires on the beach, horseback riding on the beach, etc). Plus, 30E arguably has the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets in Florida. That is priceless. See the video at the bottom of the article.

The main exception would be that the water will be chilly for swimming (renting a house with a heated pool is an alternative). Still, every year there are people out there in the water swimming during these months as if it is 95° outside.

• Submissions will be accepted through Labor Day, September 2nd by 9:00 pm EDT.⠀⠀⠀

• Those who manage the 30E Cape San Blas, FL Facebook Group will select the winning submission and the winner will be announced on September 21st by 9:00 pm EDT.⠀⠀⠀

RULES:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

• Only one submission per person.

• The photo must have been taken this year (2024).

• The photo must have been taken in Gulf County or Mexico Beach, FL. They will accept submissions on St. Vincent Island.

• The prize is non-transferable. In the event the winner cannot travel to 30E Cape San Blas, FL, the winner cannot give the prize to someone else.

• 30E Cape San Blas, FL should be informed (via Facebook Messenger or email 30ecsb@gmail.com) immediately if the winner determines that he or she cannot accept the prize. Then, another winner will be chosen.
