Tony Evers stopped at Marinette’s Water Utility Office Monday to tour the plant alongside Marinette Mayor Steve Genisot and Warren Howard, the city’s waste and wastewater operations manager. Jury convicts Sotka in fatal stabbings
GREEN BAY — A Wisconsin man with Marinette ties has been convicted in the fatal stabbings of two women whose bodies were found last year in a Green Bay home. The Brown County jury deliberated for about an hour Monday before convicting Richard Sotka, 49, of charges including two counts of first-degree intentional homicide for the killings of Rhonda Cegelski, 58, of Green Bay, and Paula O’Connor, 53, of Bellevue, WLUK-TV reported. Woman dies in Menominee County crash
SPALDING TOWNSHIP — A 58-year-old Perronville woman died in a two-vehicle accident Friday in Menominee County. MARINETTE — Marinette Ward 3 Alderman Doug Oitzinger will hold a town hall meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Room 101-102 at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC), 1601 University Drive, Marinette.
