Murfreesboro Teen Injured in Fiery Crash
NELSON COUNTY, KENTUCKY - Early on July 20, 2024, at approximately 1:45 AM, the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky responded to a serious accident near the 32-mile marker on the eastbound side of the Bluegrass Parkway. Dispatch informed deputies en route that a vehicle had struck a tree and was on fire.
Multi-vehicle crash causing delays on I-65 in Franklin
FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - A multi-vehicle crash is causing delays on Interstate 65 North, according to the Franklin Police Department. The crash happened near the Murfreesboro Road exit on Sunday morning. The Franklin Police Department is urging drivers to avoid the area and to seek an alternate route if possible.

MURFREESBORO, TN - UPDATE - The Murfreesboro Police Department's Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) is continuing their investigation into a hit-and-run fatal collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist that occurred on Thursday, July 18. The tragic incident took place next to the Walmart store in the 2900 block of S. Rutherford Blvd. around 5:30 in the evening. The identity of the 30-year-old male bicyclist is currently being withheld until his next of kin can be properly notified.

La Vergne, TN - Five members of the La Vergne Police Department returned Friday (7/19/2024) from assignment at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, WI. Deadly Salemtown shooting suspect indicted on federal charges
A man accused of opening fire in a Salemtown restaurant on Easter Sunday, killing one and injuring several others, has been indicted by a federal grand jury for charges related to the March shooting, as well as another incident from last year in Murfreesboro.
Dale Armour named as Nolensville's next chief of police
Dale Armour has been named as Nolensville’s next chief of police as current Chief Roddy Parker is set to retire on Aug. 30. According to a Town of Nolensville news release, Armour “will work closely with Chief Parker through the month of August, ensuring a smooth transition of leadership for the department.”

This development comes just one week after the incident, demonstrating the department’s commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring justice is served. On the night of July 9, 2024, Echo Three Armory Gun Store was broken into, resulting in the theft of ammunition, however, no firearms were taken during the burglary. The swift response from the store’s security system and the timely intervention of the Chapel Hill Police Department played a crucial role in preserving critical evidence. Chief of Police, Andrew Kon, stated, “This case was a top priority for our department. The stolen ammunition and the risk of potential for these subjects to attempt another burglary of this magnitude, posed a significant risk to community safety. Our detective Jason Hughes and MNPD Detective Powers worked tirelessly, and with the assistance of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (ATF) we were able to track down and apprehend the suspects involved.”
