Arkansas Highway 42 bridge collapses, impacting water supply for Parkin residents
COLDWATER — The Arkansas Highway 42 bridge over the St. Francis River at Coldwater in Cross County remains closed after it collapsed on Friday. The bridge had been closed to traffic since November 2, 2023. Officials with the Arkansas Department of Transportation said then that it could be up to a year before the bridge would be replaced and reopened to traffic.
