Woman jailed after 110 mph turnpike chase from Trumbull to Summit County
A New Jersey woman is spending the weekend in jail after State Troopers say she led them on a 110 miles per hour chase along the Ohio Turnpike in Trumbull County. Trooper Rick Caraway tells 21 News he tried to pull over a Nissan Maxima doing 90 in a 70 mph stretch of the turnpike in Braceville Township Saturday afternoon.

Edison Woman Killed by Fallen Tree at New York Campground
EDISON, NJ - A woman from Edison Township was killed by a downed tree at a campground in Delaware County, New York, according to the Colchester Police Department. Authorities say they have identified the victim as Carol E. Luistro. Police say they received numerous reports of trees down at campsites on Saturday due to a passing storm. Mercer County Sheriff's Office to Issue Senior IDs on July 22
MERCER COUNTY, NJ - The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office will be visiting the Vincent J. Calcagno Robbinsville Senior Center on Monday, July 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., to process and issue Senior IDs for interested members. This initiative aims to provide seniors with identification that can be essential for various purposes, such as proving age for discounts, accessing senior services, and ensuring safety in case of emergencies. Police: Man Pretending to be Roofing Contractor Busted After Attempting to Scam Elderly New Hyde Park Woman
The Third Squad reports the arrest of a New Jersey man for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. in North New Hyde Park. According to Detectives, a female victim, 74, stated she was approached at her residence located on North 4th Street by an unknown male advising the victim that her roof needed repairs. The subject represented himself as a roof contractor and instructed the victim on multiple occasions to withdraw money from her bank account. The victim complied each time, withdrawing approximately $85,000.00 USC in total.

Fall trial set for Ocean man accused of murdering Sayreville student in 1999
NEW BRUNSWICK – The trial for an Ocean County man charged with the 1999 killing of a Sayreville War Memorial High School student is scheduled for later this year. The Middlesex County trial for Bruce Cymanski, of Barnegat, a former South Amboy and Old Bridge resident, who was charged in 2021 with the murder of 17-year-old Nancy Noga, has been scheduled for early fall, according to both court officials and Cymanski's attorney.
