Dublin fire chief urges caution shooting fireworks during Fourth
The Fourth of July will be a time for Americans to converge with family and friends to celebrate the 248th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Many probably already have plans to gather with family and friends for food, games and fun. Shooting off fireworks might also be on the agenda for Thursday’s holiday. With that in mind, Dublin Fire Chief Matthew Cutler wants parents to be aware of the instructions that come with all fireworks.

DUBLIN, Ga. (WGXA) — The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded the city of Dublin with a $1.5 million grant for the Connect Dublin project. According to a release from the city, the grant will fund planning activities for the improvement of around 13.5 miles of city-owned roads and sidewalks in Scottsville, Southside Dublin and the Stubbs neighborhoods.
