According to a Facebook post by the New Bedford Police Department, 26-year-old Jacob Matthew-Almeida was arrested and faces multiple charges, including illegal possession of a high-capacity firearm.

Officer White began with the Dartmouth Police Department as an intermittent officer in 1994. He was later sworn in as a full-time officer in April of 1995. His police K9 handling career began in 2000 where he was partnered with K9 Topper, followed by K9 Reaper, and currently, K9 Tyr.
