Former Boston Celtics forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis was supposed to head to prison in August 2024 for defrauding the NBA Players’ Health and Benefit Welfare Plan by taking payments for medical treatments he never received. Davis, a member of the 2008 Celtics championship team, was sentenced in May to 40 months in a federal prison. He was one of several NBA players and doctors accused of scamming the NBA’s players health and benefit welfare plan.

“Please join Chief Levesque and the rest of the Dartmouth Police Department, as we wish Officer Jared White and K9 Tyr a happy & healthy retirement. Officer White began with the Dartmouth Police Department as an intermittent officer in 1994. He was later sworn in as a full-time officer in April of 1995. His police K9 handling career began in 2000 where he was partnered with K9 Topper, followed by K9 Reaper, and currently, K9 Tyr. Officer White’s partnership with K9s Topper, Reaper, and Tyr, resulted in the seizure of substantial amounts of illicit narcotics, the apprehension of numerous violent fugitives, the safe return of multiple missing persons, various SWAT incidents, and a large number of community demonstrations.
