EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – The sounds of summer were back in East Longmeadow this Thursday evening with the town’s Rotary Summer Concert Series taking place after the weather postponed it last night.

This free 8-week concert series, now in its 38th year, brought music lovers together for its 5th night at the high school. Attendees danced and sang along to the sounds of UnionJack, featuring music from the 1960s British Invasion era. This concert series is just one way that the Rotary Club gives back to the western Massachusetts community.

“It just keeps the community together, you know what I mean? It keeps everybody out and it’s just a nice place to be able to come and enjoy and be with people. And it’s just a fun place,” said Linda Cooling of East Longmeadow. “It’s nice to be able to just sit here and just sing along to all the good songs.”

The next concert is on July 31st with Changes In Latitudes at 7 PM.
