East Orange, NJ-Thousands of young people participate in scouting each year, with many starting as youngsters and continuing on to earn the highest rank of Eagle Scout. Approximately 55,000 young people, year after year, achieve this important milestone.

Service to mankind is what Scouting is all about. The Eagle Scout service project highlights the Scout's leadership abilities and positively impacts the community.

East Orange resident Rashawn Stuart is a dedicated member of Troop 5350 in Belleville. Rashawn planned, supervised and constructed 21 Wood Duck Boxes for the Essex County Environmental Center in Roseland.

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. congratulated him on his achievement and thanked him for completing his Eagle Scout project within the Essex County Park System. "His leadership and volunteerism set a fine example and his achievement of becoming an Eagle Scout is greatly admired," said DiVincenzo.
