Fireworks show preparations underway in East Palestine

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (WKBN) – The East Palestine Firefighters Association is preparing to host its Fourth of July fireworks show next week which they say is the best show in the area.

Fourth of July festivities start at East Palestine City Park in the afternoon and the fireworks start at 10 p.m.

The East Palestine Firefighters Association puts on the show with the help of donations from local businesses and community members.

“We do it all. He’s the pyrotech, he sets them off, he puts the show together. We do it all. We have no company that comes in,” said fireman Rick Gorby.

The annual fireworks show draws people from all over to East Palestine.

The firefighters ask those who attend to leave a donation so they can continue funding the fireworks show.
