Georgians receive more than $200M in student debt relief, education secretary says
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - As Georgians struggle to repay student loans, plans are in the works that could lower the cost of public education. The Department of Education found Georgia has the third highest student debt. More than $65 billion in debt is split between 1.6 million Georgians. The average borrower owes $40,500.
