Francisco Urbaez named Southern League Player of the Week
Francisco Urbaez has been named the Southern League’s Player of the Week for his performance against the Rocket City Trash Pandas. The Chattanooga Lookouts infielder played in five of the six games against the Trash Pandas last week and went 9-18 with four extra-base hits, five walks, five runs, six runs batted in, and just two strikeouts. All of that together led him to posting a .500 batting average, a .625 on-base percentage, and he slugged an even 1.000. An OPS of 1.625 tends to jump out at the voters and they took notice.
