Rich Baker comes 'full circle' to lead Stroudsburg High School as new AD
No matter where Richard Baker's journey took him, his hometown of Stroudsburg was never too far from his heart and spirit. He competed for Stroudsburg High School as a basketball player, he returned years later to patrol the sidelines as head varsity coach, and after serving as athletic director for Executive Education Academy, Baker is once again back home to serve as AD of his alma mater.
Penn College enrollment counselor honored
Williamsport, Pa. — An enrollment counselor in Pennsylvania College of Technology has been honored by a statewide organization for her work helping high school students make the transition to college, school officials announced. The Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling presented the James McKeever Promising Professional Award to Sarah F. Marino, a Stroudsburg native, at its recent conference. BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Lehigh University plans a bond issue of $125 million to pay for campus improvements and refund some earlier debt, taking advantage of lower rates. Lehigh Treasurer David Hammer presented the sale to the Northampton County General Purpose Authority (GPA) on Tuesday, and County Council will hold a final vote Wednesday.
