EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — A Monroe County man has been sentenced for selling fentanyl and cocaine.

On Wednesday, U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam announced that 56-year-old Rodney Wilcox of East Stroudsburg was sentenced to 151 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

Victim identified after deadly five-car crash on I-81

U.S. Attorney Karam said during the spring of 2023 Wilcox sold cocaine and fentanyl during a controlled purchase conducted by law enforcement. During some of the purchases Wilcox had a handgun, Attorney Karam notes.

Officials state a search warrant was conducted on Wilcox’s residence resulting in two firearms, and 6.5 grams of fentanyl, which is 3,250 doses of potentially fatal fentanyl.
