City of Syracuse sues water department worker for $23K in unpaid rent
Syracuse, N.Y. — The city of Syracuse is taking one of its employees to court in an attempt to recover 35 months worth of unpaid house rent. The city filed a complaint Wednesday in state Supreme Court in Onondaga County against Christopher Catalano, an assistant superintendent in the water department. The lawsuit seeks a judgment ordering Catalano to pay $23,660 for failing to pay his monthly $650 rent to live at a city-owned house at the Westcott Reservoir in the town of Geddes.
