    Easthampton man arrested after police seize over 100 grams of methamphetamine

    EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – An Easthampton man was arrested last week on multiple narcotics-related offenses.

    According to Massachusetts State Police, On Thursday, July 12, 41-year-old Calvin Harris of Easthampton, was arrested following a search of his residence, which led to the seizure of approximately 121 grams of suspected “crystal rock” Methamphetamine, MDMA (ecstasy pills) and a small quantity of GHB (Gamma Hydroxy Butyric Acid).

    The arrest followed a months-long investigation led by Massachusetts State Police, with assistance from the Easthampton Police Department, U.S. Postal Inspectors, the DEA, and the Northwestern DA’s Office.

    Harris was charged with the following:

    • Trafficking in Methamphetamine 100-200 Grams
    • Possession with intent to distribute Class A (Gamma Hydroxy Butyric Acid)
    • Possession with intent to distribute Class B (Ecstasy

    “I cannot stress enough the importance of eradicating the presence of methamphetamine in our communities,” said Colonel Mawn. “This drug devastates lives, fuels crime, and undermines the safety and well-being of our neighborhoods. We are committed to combatting the trafficking of methamphetamine through our dedicated multi-disciplinary task force approach, which involves collaboration with public health and social service partners, local police departments, federal law enforcement agencies, District Attorneys, the Attorney General, and the United States Attorney’s Office. We will continue to work tirelessly to rid our streets of this dangerous substance and provide support to those affected by its grip.”
