The body of a missing man was recovered Wednesday afternoon from the Delaware River in Northampton County, according to police.

Trooper Nathan Branosky, a state police spokesman, said troopers were called about 1:30 p.m. to the 800 block of South Delaware Drive, Williams Township, after the body of a man was discovered along the river there.

The body was found about 25 feet from the shoreline, Branosky said. The body was taken from the scene to the Northampton County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy, he said.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Louis A. Cosenza, 60, of Easton. Cosenza was using a flotation device Saturday while in the river in Easton. He entered the water and did not resurface, according to a news release from the coroner’s office.

The cause and manner of his death are pending.
