An Eastport father who lost his 9-year-old daughter to cancer is hoping to help others. Daniel Dolomite's daughter Briana died less than a year after being diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. Briana's father wanted to make sure that she felt like a normal kid in the short time she had to live. The young girl went to school every day as she spent nearly a year battling cancer. Dolomite has started The Strong and Brave Foundation after his daughter and another young boy named Cole who died of cancer. He says while going through the grieving process, he is still pushing forward to help children like his daughter. "And I said the moment she died, I said, 'I'm gonna save at least one,' Dolomite said. "That''s my goal." "
