Wisconsin Air National Guard shows off new F-35A fighter at AirVenture
OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) -Oshkosh is known as the mecca of sport aviation, but Wisconsin can also now be called home to one of the military’s most state of the art aircraft. The 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard in Madison received eight F-35A Lighting II aircraft in April of 2023, becoming only the second Air National Guard wing in the country to get them. Lincoln County Retired Educators Is Accepting Scholarship Applications
The Lincoln County Retired Educators will award two scholarships this year. One will go to a Merrill High School graduate and one to a Tomahawk High School graduate. Applicants must be in the School of Education, be a Junior or Senior, and intend to teach in Wisconsin. Applications are available by emailing [email protected] for Merrill and [email protected] for Tomahawk. For Merrill applicants, applications must be returned by email by Aug. 18, 2024, and the recipient of the award will be notified by Aug. 25. For Tomahawk applicants, applications must be returned by email by Aug. 29, and the recipient will be notified by Aug. 31.
