Civil War veteran to be honored in Jasper
On the north side of the Jasper Cemetery is a small, white, weathered stone with a metal star that says Veteran. On the stone is the name William Ellis Stork. While his stone may be nondescript, Stork has the distinction of being the last Union veteran of the Civil War to be buried in Pipestone County.
