BOOM!!! Christian Hudson Commits To UCF!!!
ORLANDO, FL - It has now been four consecutive days the Knight nation has heard a "Boom!" from Gus Malzahn and the UCF Knights staff as they continue to roll landing the commitment of Mainland (Daytona Beach, Fla) 3 Star defensive lineman Christian Hudson. Following up the three defensive linemen on the edge. Hudson is a big time win for defensive tackles coach Kenny Martin as he had to beat out Iowa, Iowa State, and Maryland to keep the talented interior rusher home. He had an interesting recruitment with the Knights having initially been offered as an offensive lineman by Herb Hand, but continued to develop as a defensive tackle and eventually earned the offer to play on the defensive line. Similarly built to current UCF defensive tackle Ricky Barber Jr, Hudson adds a lot of versatility and extreme power from a lower base just like Barber. When asked what position Martin will have him line up at Hudson told Knights247, "Their plan for me is to line me up anywhere on the DLine, from a five, to a nose, to a one, a shade, anything like that. Mainly just very versatile with me, that's their plan with me, and just move me around."

It wouldn’t seem you could make the events in Daytona Beach, Fla., on this day 40 years ago much better for Richard Petty. The NASCAR legend pushed his Pontiac Grand Prix past Cale Yarborough in the final turn and crossed the finish line inches ahead of his competitor with two laps to go in the Firecracker 400. However, the drivers raced to the yellow flag, which was a defacto checkered flag since there were just two laps remaining.
