Baltimore City health commissioner out after six months, nationwide search set for replacement
BALTIMORE - Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott announced that Dr. Ihuoma Emenuga is out as the city's health commissioner after serving in the role for more than six months.Baltimore City will begin a nationwide search for its next health commissioner, but in the meantime, Simone Johnson, the Deputy City Administrator, will fill in the interim.The Baltimore Mayor's Office said Johnson has more than two decades of local and state government experience. Early morning violence erupts with shootings in two districts
BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — Multiple violent incidents occurred in the early hours of Monday morning. At approximately 12:03 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim. Once there, officers located a 30-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers learned that the victim was shot in the 500 block of South Wickham Rd. where a crime scene was located.
Man Found Dead in O.C. Condo Pool
A man was found floating face-down in a condo pool just before 11 a.m. this past Sunday on the ocean side of 90th Street. Attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Ashley Miller, police spokeswoman, says the 58-year-old man comes from Towson, Maryland.
