A Farrell woman accused of taking money from a 99-year-old man will be brought to Trumbull County to face charges after her arrest in Sharon. Felicia Splitstone, 35, was arrested by Sharon police around 10:30 a.m. on June 28 and booked into the Mercer County Jail while awaiting extradition to Trumbull County.
Suspect in New Castle homicide arrested in Mahoning County
The suspect who was wanted in connection with a homicide New Castle has been arrested in Mahoning County on Wednesday. According to jail records, 32-year-old Andrew Howard was arrested by the Ohio Adult Parole Authority on a charge of fugitive from justice. Jail records show him to have had a warrant for criminal homicide out of Lawrence County.

Girard man gets three years in prison after pleading guilty to seventh OVI charge
The following criminal cases were handled June 27 before Judge Ronald J. Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court:. James C. Schwendeman, 40, of East Second Street, Girard, was sentenced to a composite three-year prison term after he had pleaded guilty to his seventh OVI charge in May. Judge Rice also sentenced him to a probation violation for a 2020 OVI conviction. Scwendeman was also fined $1,350 and given a lifetime driver’s license suspension. The latest conviction sprang from a July 22, 2023, traffic stop in Girard.
