The Route 66 Blue Hippo festival returns to Edmond

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) – Oklahomans looking to experience the Route 66 Blue Hippo Festival this year can expect it to be themed around Edmond’s Route 66 novelty, the Blue Hippo from the Edmond History Museum .

Participants can expect family-friendly activities, performances, artists and all things blue at Stephenson Park and in the museum on Saturday, June 15th from 10am to 4pm.

According to museum officials, festivalgoers can look forward to a quirky and educational setting. In addition to carnival-style activities, visitors will have the opportunity to win prizes by participating in hippo and Route 66 Trivia throughout the park.

Hot Wheels races, Hungry Hippo battles and more will delight attendees. There will be classic cars on display, as well as hippo art pieces being created during the festival. Live music will be in the park’s amphitheater.
