FORT WALTON BEACH — Drivers in Fort Walton Beach should take note of a traffic change that will affect access to U.S. 98 until the end of the summer season. On Friday, June 28, the right turn lane of Perry Avenue on the south side of U.S. 98 will be closed from 6 p.m. Fridays through 6 p.m. Sundays until the end of Labor Day weekend. During the closure, drivers cannot turn eastbound onto U.S. 98 from the intersection.
Bridge-to-bridge path set for Okaloosa Island: Groundbreaking is July 8
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla.—Okaloosa County is set to break ground on a bridge-to-bridge multi-use path on Okaloosa Island. According to the Board of County Commissioners, the multi-use path will stretch about four miles between the Brooks Bridge and Marler (Destin) Bridge.
