Wanted Vehicle Hits 140 MPH in Wild Mendocino County Pursuit
A high-speed vehicle pursuit is underway this evening in inland Mendocino County, with authorities tracking a wanted vehicle reaching speeds of up to 140 miles per hour. The chase began around 6:55 p.m., according to scanner traffic, as a motorcycle, described as a vehicle, was spotted traveling northbound on Highway 101 through Hopland. Oakland school kids rode buses run by company with shocking track record
Jas Kumar was driving his charter bus in January to pick up Oakland Unified School District students in West Oakland when he saw a Chevrolet Suburban strike a woman who was crossing San Pablo Avenue. Kumar stopped the bus and called 911. The woman, Kim May Barranco, was pronounced dead at the scene.
