On Friday night Phoenix Rising defeated El Paso Locomotive 2-0. Prior to tonight’s matchup, Phoenix Rising has struggled. They were embarrassed in a 5-1 loss to Memphis 901, and then lost 2-1 to San Antonio. Goodyear Juniors All Stars headed to regionals
The Goodyear Juniors All Stars softball team is the first Goodyear team, girls or boys, to win a state championship. During the state playoff tournament in Tucson, the softball team won 68-6. They will represent Arizona in the Western Regional Tournament in Tucson from July 20 to July 24, where they will try to earn a bid for the Little League Softball World Series in Kirkland, Washington.
