EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — A total of eight apartment units were impacted by a fire at an East El Paso apartment complex on Sunday afternoon, June 30, El Paso Fire officials said.

El Paso Fire crews responded to reports of a “working fire” at around 2:30 p.m. Sunday at 3541 Peerless Place. That is near Montana and Yarbrough.

When crews arrived, one apartment unit was “fully involved” in fire, Battalion Chief Fernando Zeh said.

Crews worked to knock down the fire and help contain it, he said.

A total of eight units, six of them occupied, were impacted by the fire, he said. At least three had smoke and water damage, Zeh said.

Dispatch said no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
