Steven Milam Named 2024 First-Team Freshman All-American by D1 Baseball

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Steven Milam was named a 2024 First-Team Freshman All-American by D1 Baseball on Friday.

Milam, a Las Cruses native, just wrapped up his first year playing at the collegiate level for Louisiana State.

The second baseman batted a .326 with 12 doubles, three triples, eight home runs, 40 RBI’s, 51 runs and seven stolen bases in his first year.

Two of the eight home runs were walk-offs both coming in the postseason.

This is the Centennial alumni’s second accolade in recent time, after Milam was recognized by the National Collegiate Baseball Writes Association last month.
